Update on Truck Study June 29, 2011
The comment period for the Truck Study ended on May 16, 2011. DOT received hundreds of comments of the proposed truck routes and is in the process of reviewing every comment and making adjustments to the final truck route map. We expect to have a revised map by the end of July, 2011.
Truck Route Meeting Rescheduled for March 31, 2011
The Truck Study Public Meeting has been rescheduled for March 31, 2011 at the Enoch Pratt Free Library Cherry Hill Branch located at 606 Cherry Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21225. The library’s phone number is (410) 396-1168. The meeting starts at 6PM and will end at 7:30PM.

Tonight’s Truck Study Public Meeting Cancelled Due to Weather
The truck study meeting scheduled for Tonight, February 22, 2011 6PM at the Enoch Pratt Free Library – Cherry Hill Branch, has been postponed due to the weather and the library is closed today. DOT will reschedule this meeting for the next available date. Please consider joining DOT on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the AFYA Center, Harryand Jeanette Weinberg Building located at 4151 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215 at 6PM for the next Truck Study Public Meeting.
Baltimore Truck Study Public Meetings
Keeping commercial vehicles on their designated routes is a major challenge throughout Baltimore City due to the changing economic and neighborhood conditions within the city. While truck traffic is necessary to maintain commercial and industrial activity, it is possible to reduce its impact on communities.
Many truck routes have not been examined for their appropriateness and practicality in several decades. The Baltimore City Department of Transportation has conducted an audit of existing truck routes to analyze and ultimately re-route truck traffic to balance both economic viability and community livability.
A series of public meetings were held in 2010 to present proposed truck routes for each quadrant of the city. Four February 2011 meetings have been scheduled to give residents an opportunity to view the citywide map in its entirety. The same presentation will be given during each of the four February meetings.
